H.E Ayikoi Otoo paid a working visit to the province of Alberta from 6th to 12th October, to meet the Ghanaian Communities in Edmonton and Calgary and Faculty Members and Ghanaian Students at the University of Alberta. H.E Ayikoi Otoo commended the Ghanaian Community in Edmonton and Calgary for holding the image of Ghana high and the commitment demonstrated towards the development agenda of Ghana. He called on Ghanaians in Edmonton, Calgary and friends of Ghana to take advantage of Government’s programmes through direct private engagement in the area of Agriculture and Agro-processing, manufacturing, construction, Technical and Vocational Training while dwelling on the comparative and competitive advantages that Ghana and Canada offers them. The meetings at University of Alberta focused on enhancing partnerships between Universities in Ghana and University of Alberta, particularly, in the areas of Nursing and Education. H.E Ayikoi Otoo also met Alberta Government Officials at the Alberta Agriculture and Forestry to discuss partnerships and collaboration with private sector investors who have expertise and are willing to invest in Ghana’s Agricultural sector.
