H.E. Dr. Gariba Speaks At The International Program for Development Evaluation Training (IPDET)
H.E. Dr. Gariba is special guest speaker at the International Program for Development Evaluation Training (IPDET), at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, June 9th 2016.
Each year since 2000, the World Bank collaborates with Carleton University, Ottawa, runs the largest international training in development evaluation, attracting 200 – 300 trainees each year, from over 75 countries. In 2016, Ghana registered the largest number of trainees from any one country. Eleven Ghanaians in senior and middle-level positions from several Ministries attended the program. These institutions were – Ministry of Finance, National Development Planning Commission, Ministry of Communications, the Ghana Revenue Authority, Ministry of Agriculture, and others. During their stay and study in Ottawa, the Ghana High hosted the Ghanaian delegation to an evening of dialogue about the importance of evaluation and accountability in Ghana. Present at the evening encounter were Mr. Ernest Nana Adjei, First Secretary, Diaspora Affairs; and Ms. Elizabeth Nyantakyi, Ministeer/Counsellor, Political and Economic Affairs.
